Gourmandise The Bakery

I love Gourmandise, this is my go to place whenever I have a sweet tooth. Gourmandise is the bakery and the cafe.  I love their fruit tarts!

Berries and fruits in them are always fresh and beautiful, custard cream filling is so yummy, sweet enough and creamy enough with out being too rich.  So many pastries to choose from but my favorite by far is their tiramisu!

It is to die for.The Ladyfingers, soaked in strong espresso, is truly a wonderful complementary to the layers of sweet cream and mascarpone cheese.
If you ever in Salt Lake City, you got to check this place out. 250 South 300 East, Salt Lake City UT 84111, phone: 801-328-3330. Their work hours: Mon-Thur 7:00am -10:00pm, Fri-Sat 7:00 am- 11:00 pm. They are closed on Sundays.

Peace to you.

You and I, we never met and whether we want this, you will always be part of my past as I of yours. Maybe you'll read this, maybe not. I do not expect anything from you, not a response, not a remorse, not an apology. I simply want to tell you, that all actions have consequences. I am certainly I am not a perfect person, or a perfect friend, or a perfect wife. I have caused other pain knowingly and unknowingly, I don't believe in a lot of things but I do believe in karma and perhaps this came back to me. The thing is, I don't know you and I don't know what was going on in your life for you to do the things you did.  I do want you to know, I never judged you and I forgive you with all my heart and soul and I truly hope you will find the happiness. But in the future please hear that your actions impact not only you but also people you love and strangers like me. Eventually that energy comes back to you. I am comforted by this thought and with that, I'm not going to think of you any longer.

Watch Your Mouth

My grand father was an amazing, smart, loving man, he was  respectful and very much respected by others. When I first told him about my engagement to my  husband, he gave me one advice: "Fight nicely and  to watch my mouth and what comes out of it. Words are not birds, once they fly out of your mouth you wont be able to catch them."
So I have a question for all of you, when it comes to intense conversations with your significant other: "Would you let anyone else talk to them that way? Will you be okay if they talked to you like that?"  And its not just what we say, its the way we say it. The tone, the volume, facial expression its all plays it's roll.
Do I screw up and have short temper? Absolutely!  We all do. So next time when we are having a bad day or heated discussion with our other half, lets try to remember that words are powerful and also remember to watch our mouth. After all we kiss them and our kids with it.

Salt Lake Coffee Break

Salt Lake City tends to be a city that officially closes early, but the Salt Lake Coffee Break is often open to 2 or 3 am.Coffee Break is one of the best late night destinations in Salt Lake, though I have yet to see it be closed at any time of the day. The atmosphere is casual and easy going, its a location where you can grab your mocha and sit on one of the worn couches for hours talking. The coffee is good, not incredible but definitely above average. The barristas are always friendly and helpful. The array of people that come in are a very different  mix, which just adds to the appeal  of the shop. I've been going to this place since I was 18, I am almost 30 now  and not even once I have been disappointed.  They are  located at
 430 East 400 South

The night to remember!

Yesterday was by far the best day I had in the long time. You might ask what did I do? And I will answer. I walked to Vik's school to get him, got home, made him a snack and than we walked to a Family Dollar store in the wind storm and when it was finally time to walk home, the wind storm became Wind- Snow Storm.  Yes it was difficult  and very painful to be outside but once we got home, Vik and I decided that it wasn't that bad, it was quiet  an adventure and we would do it  again sometimes. At the store we got all kinds of snacks for our movie night. We got, Cheddar Cheese Pringles, Beef Jerky, Crunch Crisp from Nestle, Hershey's Cookies 'n'Creme Drops and last but not least Hershey's Almonds pieces in milk chocolate.  But before we stuffed our faces with all this goodness we had an amazing night playing outside in the snow storm. Here is the prove.

But that is not all, he also helped his aunt Nadya build a Snowman and I've got to say he turned out to be very handsome, well as handsome as Snowman can get . It was one of the most memorable,  fantastic, amazing evenings that I have had with my sweet boy.
